# Itaú offers 15,000 free scholarships for training in Java and AI

Itaú Unibanco has opened 15,000 free scholarships for training in Java and artificial intelligence. Conducted in partnership with DIO, the program will last 45 hours and combines software development content with fundamentals and applications of artificial intelligence.

Named Bootcamp Itaú, Java with Artificial Intelligence, the training is intended for both beginners and professionals looking to advance their careers in technology. Registrations are open until October 11, 2026.

The curriculum begins with fundamentals of artificial intelligence, including machine learning, large language models, generative artificial intelligence, and agents. Participants will then progress to Java, object-oriented programming, web development, and technologies from the Spring ecosystem, such as Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Security, and Spring Cloud.

In total, the program includes 22 courses, two coding challenges, two projects, and four live mentorship sessions.

One of the projects focuses on Design Patterns in Java and their application in the Spring Framework. In the final project, participants will be challenged to develop an API with speech recognition, integrating Spring Boot and artificial intelligence.

According to Itaú, this initiative is part of the bank's AI First strategy, which aims to incorporate artificial intelligence across the company's operations, products, and processes. "Artificial intelligence is transforming the way we develop solutions, make decisions, and work. Our AI First strategy has as one of its pillars the expansion of technology use in a responsible and integrated way with the business, but this evolution also depends on people prepared to transform knowledge into concrete applications," said a director from Itaú Unibanco.

This is the first partnership between Itaú and DIO. After completing the training, participants will also have their profiles available on Talent Match, DIO's platform aimed at connecting professionals with opportunities in partner companies.

Registrations are free and can be made on DIO's website until October 11.
