# Kling AI Plans IPO in Hong Kong to Raise at Least 1 Billion USD

Kling AI, a subsidiary of Kuaishou Technology, has reportedly selected underwriters and is preparing for an initial public offering in Hong Kong, aiming to raise at least 1 billion USD. According to sources, the artificial intelligence video service provider is collaborating with China International Capital Corporation, Goldman Sachs, and UBS to advance the potential share issuance. Kling AI intends to complete the listing as early as next year.

Details regarding the financing scale and listing timeline are still under discussion and may change. Established in 2024, Kling AI is actively seeking commercialization in the AI-generated video sector. Following OpenAI's termination of the Sora project, Kling AI hopes to fill the market gap. In July of this year, Kling AI completed a funding round of 2.8 billion USD, with investors including Alibaba, Tencent, and Baidu; after this funding round, Kling AI's pre-money valuation was approximately 15 billion USD.

Kling AI currently faces competition from Seedance, a subsidiary of ByteDance, as well as two startups, Shengshu Technology and PixVerse, both of which are also planning IPOs in Hong Kong. Despite a downturn in the local stock market, AI-related transactions are reportedly revitalizing the Hong Kong IPO market, pushing the total amount raised by new stocks in the third quarter to a new high. Kuaishou's stock price has also suffered this year, with its market value shrinking by over half.
