# OpenAI Completes $20 Billion Funding Tranche

OpenAI has secured an additional $20 billion in funding, with Nvidia and SoftBank each contributing $10 billion to fulfill their respective investment commitments. This latest capital injection brings the total committed amount for the current funding round to approximately $122 billion, valuing the company at roughly $852 billion.

Amazon had previously completed a $50 billion investment in the company. Together, the three major investors have now deployed approximately $110 billion, which accounts for about 90% of the total committed capital for this round.

SoftBank stated that its cumulative investment in OpenAI has reached approximately $64.6 billion following this additional contribution. The company now holds a stake of about 13% in OpenAI.

The new funding is expected to strengthen OpenAI's financial position for artificial intelligence model research, computing infrastructure development, and data center expansion.
