# TANGLE Launches Naviu Augmented Reality Tourism App

TANGLE has launched Naviu, an augmented reality tourism navigation application for visitors to Japan, on November 1, 2026. The application is available for iOS and Android devices.

Naviu utilizes a proprietary, patent pending technology based on location information to overlay augmented reality content and route guidance onto real cityscapes with high precision. The application includes an artificial intelligence guide that provides explanations based on the user's current location in 29 languages. Users can ask questions about street corners or temples and shrines, and an artificial intelligence character supports their exploration through augmented reality paths.

The application combines an artificial intelligence guide, city wide augmented reality navigation, and a guide function that introduces local history and culture. It features a spatial content network that allows creators, local governments, and companies to place 3D and augmented reality content in any real world location. Augmented reality experiences have been deployed at Tokyo Station, Meiji Jingu, Tokyo Tower, Tokyo Skytree, and Senso ji.

Additional features include a photo recognition tool that allows users to point their camera at signs, shops, or temples to ask questions immediately. The application also offers an optional mode where an artificial intelligence companion provides commentary on the background of buildings and streets. Furthermore, the app can generate travel itineraries based on stay duration, accessibility, interests, and dietary restrictions.

TANGLE also operates the luxury travel service Untold Japan and the tour business TOMOGO!. The company aims to deepen travel experiences in Japan by applying knowledge gained from its travel businesses to technology.
