# Totvs CEO Outlines Requirements for Corporate AI Integration

Totvs CEO Dennis Herszkowicz stated that companies must combine structured data, technology, and financial returns to advance with artificial intelligence.

According to Herszkowicz, artificial intelligence is currently the driver of discussions regarding the direction of society and business. He believes this cycle allows companies of all sizes to achieve significant growth through the use of autonomous and semi autonomous agents. These agents differ from tools that only respond to commands because they can plan, make decisions, and execute tasks, which allows human intelligence to focus on strategy, creativity, and empathy.

Herszkowicz identified five non negotiable attributes for artificial intelligence to produce measurable efficiency. First, specialized AI must use transactional data from large systems to ensure precision in critical processes. Second, high level security and governance are required, which he claims generic or fragmented solutions do not provide. Third, AI must operate on organized and integrated databases that respect specific sector rules rather than using off the shelf models. Fourth, solutions must undergo native and constant evolution to avoid the need to rebuild architecture. Fifth, there must be financial viability and a return on investment.

A study commissioned by Totvs, titled Panorama IA nas empresas brasileiras, indicates that real adoption of the technology is still incipient. The research reveals that 50 percent of companies in the country do not use artificial intelligence in a structured way within their routines. Additionally, only 7 percent of these companies are able to calculate the real return on investment for these projects.

The journey toward adoption requires a foundation of data quality and structuring, the constant evolution of enterprise resource planning systems, and the consolidation of cloud infrastructure to provide necessary scalability, security, and processing speed.
