# WigoFair secures 1 billion KRW in pre-Series A funding

WigoFair has raised 1 billion KRW in pre-Series A funding from Albatross Investment on November 3. Established in 2020, WigoFair operates a brand protection platform that detects counterfeit products in online markets and social media, handling reporting and blocking processes. The platform automates procedures by collecting product and seller information through crawlers and filtering suspicious items using an AI image analysis system.

WigoFair has secured over 100 brands as clients, primarily in the fashion and beauty sectors. Recently, the company enhanced its capabilities with features for trial purchases to counter beauty counterfeits and a database to track sellers who reappear under different names.

With this investment, WigoFair plans to strengthen its overseas market penetration and advance its AI technology. In Japan, it aims to target fashion and beauty brands through local IP service firms and patent attorney networks, while in Europe, it will focus on France, Germany, and Italy to establish a network of patent attorneys and law firms for local marketing and sales efforts.
