Anthropic Launches Claude Motion for Code Based Video Production
November 7, 2026 · 2 min read
Anthropic has released a beta feature for corporate users called Claude Motion. The tool allows users to input reports, charts, or product descriptions, which the system then converts into short animations. These completed videos can be saved as MP4 files, and users can modify text, numbers, and timing.
Anthropic stated that Claude Motion does not use a dedicated video generation model. Instead, it functions by writing code that animates text, shapes, charts, and images. This approach focuses on representing reports and data through easy to understand graphics rather than creating live action films or complex human figures.
This code based method allows for easier editing and reproduction compared to traditional video generation AI. For example, if a sales growth rate changes from 15 percent to 18 percent, the user can simply update the value in the code to modify the graph and text. Transition times and movement directions can also be adjusted without needing to regenerate the entire scene.
Other AI coding agents such as Claude Code and Codex are also being used to write code for Remotion, a tool that creates videos using web development technology. These agents can check execution results and rewrite code to fix overlapping text or awkward movements. Since September 22, following the release of Claude Opus 5.5, various works including advertisement style videos, 3D scenes, and educational videos have been shared.
The website 24fps identified 4,077 works labeled as created with Claude Opus 5.5. However, only about 10 percent of these works have disclosed the actual production code. While some animations appeared to be completed with a single command, some cases actually required detailed instructions and several hours of writing, executing, and modifying code.
