FuriosaAI, an artificial intelligence semiconductor fabless company, has completed a Series D funding round worth 820 billion KRW as of October 29, 2026.
The funding demand from both domestic and international investors led to an increase in the initial target from 450 billion to 750 billion KRW. Before this investment, the company was valued at 3 trillion KRW, rising to approximately 3.8 trillion KRW post-investment.
The largest investor is the National Growth Fund, which contributed 370 billion KRW to support the growth of the AI semiconductor industry. Among foreign investors, Infinitum participated, having co-led a 650 million USD funding round for U.S. AI semiconductor firm Groq in June. Singapore-based Quda Capital Partners also took part in the funding.
Existing shareholders contributed a total of 170 billion KRW in follow-up investments, with NextTrans leading at 48 billion KRW. Korea Development Bank added 30 billion KRW. Seed investors Naver, DSC Investment, and KDB Capital also reinvested.
Korea Export-Import Bank made its first-ever direct investment in a venture, and Yumco executed the largest investment among new domestic investors at 40 billion KRW. Hanwha Asset Management also joined with a deep tech-focused fund.
The raised funds will focus on enhancing the supply capabilities of the second-generation Neural Processing Unit (NPU) Renegade (RNGD) and developing a third-generation AI accelerator in partnership with Broadcom, aimed at the massive data center infrastructure market. FuriosaAI began mass production of RNGD in January and has established a technology verification collaboration with LG AI Research, along with launching an NPU as a Service (NPUaaS) in a cloud environment.
