Google has launched Gemini 4 Carbon, surpassing GPT-6 Astra and Claude Opus 5.5. The new model builds on Gemini 4 Argon, which was recently released. It enhances cybersecurity capabilities and long-duration performance, enabling it to outperform competitors in many tests. The model achieved a top score in the Artificial Analysis index, securing the first position.
A key selling point of Gemini 4 Carbon is its cybersecurity performance, scoring 88.2% on the SEC-bench Pro and 54.8% on ExploitGym, surpassing GPT-6 Astra by over 12%. Currently, usage is limited to a select group of partners providing cybersecurity services before wider distribution to trusted partners and eventually the general public.
During this period, adjustments to the guardrail will be made to ensure readiness. Once available for sale, it will be priced at 2/10 dollars per million tokens, the same as Gemini 4 Argon, with plans to double the price later.
