Isomorphic Labs, an AI-powered drug development company under Alphabet, is reportedly in early negotiations for a new funding round. The company is led by Demis Hassabis, a 2024 Nobel Prize winner in Chemistry.

The new funding round is expected to value the company at a minimum of $40 billion, potentially reaching $50 billion. Earlier this year, Isomorphic Labs raised $2.1 billion in its B round of funding from its parent company and other investors.

The application of artificial intelligence in biopharmaceuticals is still in its early stages. While several companies have explored various concepts, significant efforts are still needed to transition from clinical trials to market release.
