Supermi, a startup operating AI profiles based on expert knowledge, has secured an investment of 26,800,000,000 KRW (approximately 20 million USD) on October 29, 2026. The investment was led by venture capital firm Forerunner, with participation from Greylock Partners.

When users ask questions, Supermi selects the most suitable expert AI profiles and opens a group chat for them to answer collectively. For instance, if a user presents materials for an investment pitch and asks about weaknesses and potential questions, the AI profiles of venture capitalists like Mercedes Bent, Sarah Tavel, and Josh Elman respond.

Users can directly inquire about specific expert profiles or return to previous chat rooms for additional questions. The AI profiles are compiled from publicly available information from LinkedIn, YouTube, blogs, and data from apps connected by experts such as Google Drive, Notion, and Gmail. Supermi ensures that personal information and trade secrets are not exposed in responses.

The platform supports the standard specification MCP, allowing users to ask questions within Claude and ChatGPT as well. Supermi was co-founded in 2024 by Casey Winters, a former executive at Grubhub and Pinterest, and Ludo Antonov, former engineering lead at Pinterest and Lyft. They conceived the AI-based network business during the rise of ChatGPT.

Winters aims to make expert networks, previously limited to Silicon Valley, accessible to everyone. Currently operating for free, Supermi plans to implement a limit on the number of questions and charge beyond that. They are also considering compensation for experts providing knowledge and are hiring technical personnel to improve their AI model connecting questions and experts.
