Tripo AI Unveils Text-to-3D Model Generation Technology at Brazil Game Show
October 17, 2026 · 2 min read
Tripo AI introduced new artificial intelligence technology for generating three-dimensional models for video games during the Brazil Game Show 2026. The company showcased its capabilities to developers and industry attendees, highlighting tools designed to streamline the creation of game assets.
The central focus of the presentation was Tripo P2.0, an artificial intelligence model that converts text descriptions into three-dimensional elements. This system represents an evolution from the earlier Smart Mesh P1.0 release. Tripo P2.0 introduces the generation of quad meshes, which organize model surfaces into four-sided polygons. This structure is intended to facilitate subsequent editing and animation stages. Users interact with the system through Tripo Studio, where they input text commands to generate various versions of characters, objects, and other three-dimensional components. The platform also features a Mesh Edit function, allowing users to select specific regions of a model and recreate them without altering the rest of the object.
The technology aims to simplify parts of the three-dimensional modeling process. It enables developers and artists to experiment with different ideas without manually constructing every object from scratch. This approach seeks to provide greater flexibility during the creative process, particularly in the experimentation and prototype development phases. Automated asset generation can help studios accelerate prototyping workflows, test different visual concepts, and reduce repetitive tasks involved in content creation. For independent developers, such tools may broaden access to three-dimensional production, although the generated models might still require adjustments to meet specific technical and artistic project needs.
Tripo AI also demonstrated a practical application of its technology through LEBOT, an arcade-style fighting game developed using the company's API. The game uses artificial intelligence to transform a player's photograph into a three-dimensional character within the experience. This project received the Top Innovation Award in the Prompt to Play initiative, part of the second edition of Tripo Gameshub. The demonstration illustrated how three-dimensional model generation can be integrated directly into player experiences.
Journalists from Olhar Digital tested Tripo Studio during the event. They used simple text prompts to transform conceptual character ideas into animated three-dimensional creations. The hands-on experience demonstrated how artificial intelligence can facilitate the visualization of concepts and make the initial stages of three-dimensional creation more accessible, even for individuals without advanced modeling knowledge. Josephine Yi, Global Ecosystem Lead at Tripo AI, discussed these applications in an interview, representing the company's interest in presenting its solutions to the Latin American developer community. The presence at the Brazil Game Show 2026 reinforced the company's engagement with the region as generative artificial intelligence tools gain prominence in industry creative processes.
