NVIDIA has announced its intention to invest in the European AI ecosystem by acquiring stakes in four French startups: Doctolib, Genesis AI, Entalpic, and Pigment. The total investment is expected to be 2 billion USD, aimed at strengthening collaboration in the European market.

During a visit to Europe, Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIA, revealed plans for mergers and acquisitions involving European companies, which will amount to a total investment of 2 billion USD. This commitment adds to the 8 billion USD NVIDIA invested in Europe over the past year.

Doctolib is known for supporting administrative tasks for healthcare professionals and assisting European patients with appointment scheduling. Genesis AI focuses on robotics technology, with Huang predicting that humanoid robots will represent a significant future market. Additionally, Pigment develops AI-based business software, while Entalpic utilizes AI in chemical and material research.

NVIDIA is expanding its presence in Europe through discussions with the French government on open-source software and AI safety. Huang emphasized the importance of open-source models, which can be customized for languages and unique sovereignty, promoting their growth as an alternative for Europe to catch up with U.S. AI technology.
