OpenAI has launched the Decisions API, a decision-making model based on Jev, operating ten times faster. The Decisions API is designed for various decision-making tasks, similar to Jev or Cloudflare Clef, utilizing the smaller version of GPT-6 Luna in the background. The functioning of the Decisions API involves receiving input in the form of text, images, or both, and making decisions based on specified questions or conditions.

For example, it can determine which team a customer message should be forwarded to or adjust a camera to track moving objects. Its main advantage is the speed, achieving results ten times quicker compared to traditional text output.

The pricing structure for the Decisions API charges only for input tokens, at a rate of 0.10 dollars per one million tokens, which is the same rate as the input cost for GPT-6 Luna.
