On October 27, 2026, Anthropic PBC submitted its initial public offering (IPO) filing, reigniting investor enthusiasm for artificial intelligence transactions. This development led to a significant rise in Asian semiconductor stocks, with shares of Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix both increasing by over 5%. As a result, the Korea Composite Stock Price Index (Kospi) surged by 4.4% during early trading. Furthermore, Japan's Nikkei 225 index saw a maximum increase of 2.2%, with chip-related companies Advantest Corp. and Sumco Corp. both reporting gains exceeding 6%.

The submission of the IPO filing by Anthropic, the developer of Claude, marks a pivotal step towards public listing and alleviates recent market concerns regarding funding in the AI sector. Additionally, noteworthy developments include SpaceX's $40 billion equipment financing leasing project and Meta Platforms' planned $95 billion stock sale.

Market analyst Hebe Chen from Vantage Global Prime commented that "Anthropic's landmark IPO filing, combined with Meta's significant capital expenditure, has reignited the overall risk appetite in the market. Funds are no longer skewed towards defensive assets, and chip stocks have once again become the focal point of market activity."
