Linux async device shutdown patches reach 21st revision for faster server shutdown

The latest attempt to add asynchronous device shutdown support to Linux has reached its 21st revision after over two years of development.
Systems with large amounts of hardware, such as servers with numerous NVMe drives, currently experience slow shutdown times. This patch series aims to reduce that delay by shutting down devices in parallel rather than sequentially. As this is only the 21st revision and not yet merged, engineers cannot currently rely on this functionality in mainline kernels.
