Cursor launches Origin in early beta, hosting repos and syncing pull requests with GitHub
Cursor's Origin brings code hosting into the editor, letting paid-plan users create repos, run pull requests, and sync two-way with GitHub while keeping GitHub as source of truth.
For teams already using Cursor, Origin removes the context switch between editor and browser for code review and repo management. The two-way GitHub sync means adopting Origin does not require abandoning GitHub, but it does create a second surface where code lives. The early beta status and enterprise opt-out suggest this is far from production-ready for large organizations.

Origin is available in early beta to all paid Cursor plans except enterprise orgs whose admins opt out.
GitHub repos can be synced into Origin with two-way pull request syncing while GitHub remains the source of truth.
Integrations with Vercel, Depot, and Buildkite are already available, providing preview deployments and CI for Origin repos.
