DietPi 10.6 Adds Support for Orange Pi 4 Pro, Zero 3W, and New Odroid Boards

DietPi 10.6 adds official support and installation images for the Orange Pi 4 Pro, Orange Pi Zero 3W, and the Odroid M1, M1S, and M2 boards. These boards are based on the Allwinner A733 SoC for the Orange Pi models and Rockchip RK3568, RK3566, and RK3588 SoCs for the Odroid models. Users can obtain the new images from the project’s download channels or upgrade existing installations through the standard update mechanism. The change does not require rebuilding images for these platforms.

DietPi-Banner now displays disk space usage for any mounted drive, including dynamically mounted locations, and lists failed systemd services and active Fail2Ban bans. Network statistics have been expanded so the banner can show received and transmitted traffic for Ethernet, Wi-Fi, VPN interfaces and for traffic in different network namespaces. These changes give engineers immediate visibility into storage health, service status, security events, and network utilization without additional monitoring tools. The enhancements are included in the 10.6 release and require no extra configuration beyond updating DietPi.

The kernel builds for Allwinner, Amlogic, and Rockchip-based SBCs now include a driver required by certain ASUS USB keyboards. DietPi-Software can install the Kubo IPFS node on RISC-V systems, and the BirdNET-Go installer now configures the path to the ONNX Runtime library during installation or reinstallation. Immich installation through DietPi-Software has been updated to work with Immich v3, and existing installations can apply the fix by reinstalling software IDs 215 and 216. These additions enable broader peripheral and application support, but they only benefit users who have the specific hardware or software mentioned.

On the Orange Pi Zero 2W the Wi-Fi driver now loads only when Wi-Fi is explicitly enabled and CPU voltage ramp delays have been added to improve stability. Petitboot support has been repaired on the Odroid N2 and HC4, and DietPi-Config now correctly scans for wireless networks even when a hidden network with an empty SSID is present. The Bluetooth toggle in DietPi-Config no longer shows a persistent enabled state, the Immich install issue is resolved, and the DietPi-Benchmark unintended directory creation and missing mount-selection menu have been fixed. These fixes address specific regressions and stability reports, but they apply only to the boards and scenarios described in the release notes.
