DuckDuckGo's new iPhone feature is a privacy win - I recommend getting it now
DuckDuckGo's iOS app now strips all URL parameters after the question mark when copying links, removing tracking identifiers from shared URLs.
This eliminates the accidental exposure of tracking metadata (UTM tags, Facebook click IDs, etc.) when sharing links via chat or email. However, the protection is limited to the copy action, it does nothing to block trackers that activate when the recipient actually opens the link.

Copy Clean Link removes everything after the question mark in a URL, including both tracking parameters and any functional query strings.
The feature only sanitizes what goes to the clipboard; it does not block cookies or trackers encountered when the link is opened.
This is currently iOS-only, with no announced timeline for Android.
