Google Play adds Venmo as a payment option
Google Play now lets users pay for apps, games, subscriptions and creator tips with Venmo.
Developers can reach customers who prefer Venmo, potentially increasing conversion on purchases and tips. The addition expands the set of supported digital wallets, reducing friction for users already using Venmo for other transactions. However, the option is limited to regions where Venmo operates, so it won’t affect non-US users.

Venmo can be linked in the Play Store’s payment-methods settings and used like any other wallet.
Payments may draw from the Venmo balance or any bank account or card linked to the Venmo account.
The feature is currently available only where Venmo is supported, primarily the United States.
