GuliKit released the ES Max wireless controller for $49.99, featuring revised tunneling magnetoresistance (TMR) thumbsticks that measure rotational angle instead of magnetic field strength to improve precision and eliminate drift.
The rotational-angle sensing approach maintains constant magnetic field strength during stick movement, removing the signal degradation that plagued earlier TMR designs at stick extremes. For hardware engineers, this demonstrates a low-disruption path to more reliable analog input, same sensor components, different mechanical orientation, that's now available at a mid-range price point with cross-platform support.
