RayNeo splits AR glasses into lightweight AI assistant iO and heavy display GT series
RayNeo announced two distinct AR glasses lines: the lightweight iO Smart Glasses focused on AI voice capture and translation, and the heavier GT series designed for large virtual displays and media viewing.
The split highlights the current tradeoff in AR hardware between all-day wearability and high-fidelity display capabilities. The iO sacrifices cameras and speakers for a discreet form factor with advanced voice AI, while the GT series leans into immersive media consumption at the cost of portability.

The 33-gram iO Smart Glasses feature a monochrome green display, lack speakers and cameras, and use a quad-mic array with bone conduction for AI transcription and translation.
The GT and GT Max glasses weigh 68 and 78 grams respectively, offering virtual screens up to 307 inches with a 59-degree field of view and Bang & Olufsen-tuned speakers.
RayNeo has not announced pricing for either line, with retail launch planned for September 4th.
