DataVita expands Scotland AI Growth Zone datacenter with £300M funding as Dell opens regional office
DataVita will increase DV1 and DV3 capacity to 40 MW each using £300 million of financing, while Dell establishes a regional office at Mercury House in Lanarkshire's AI Innovation Park.
The added 40 MW per facility supports CoreWeave's leased capacity for 15 years, offering local AI developers nearby compute resources. The project will generate about 600 construction jobs and roughly 100 permanent, highly skilled roles, while Dell’s regional office adds customer-facing, business support and technical specialist positions for Scottish clients.

DataVita secured a £300 million debt facility from ING, ABN AMRO, Santander, the Scottish National Investment Bank and Siemens Financial Services, backed by a £202 million guarantee from the UK National Wealth Fund.
