OJCP v0.1 draft specifies open MCP-based protocol for AI agents to discover and apply to jobs

A coalition released OJCP, a v0.1 draft specification that defines seven schemas and six MCP tools standardizing how AI agents discover, evaluate, and apply to job opportunities across providers.
This replaces fragmented ATS integrations with a single protocol any MCP-compatible agent can consume, provided providers adopt it. The consent-first design and resume embeddings that enable fit-scoring without transmitting PII directly address the privacy tension in agent-driven job applications. If it gains traction, agents could search and apply across any compliant job board or employer without bespoke integrations.
