CostBench's inaugural benchmark tested four cloud data warehouses under continuous load, ingesting data while queries run, and found ClickHouse Cloud delivered 412 to 1,996× better performance per dollar than Snowflake, BigQuery, and Redshift Serverless.
This benchmark measures the full real-time analytics path from ingestion to query readiness to query serving, not just query speed on static data. For engineers evaluating warehouses for continuous-ingest workloads, it captures a combined cost metric that reflects both data preparation and query execution expenses. The results come from a ClickHouse-authored benchmark with no independent corroboration yet.

CostBench tested ClickHouse Cloud, Snowflake, BigQuery, and Redshift Serverless by streaming over 100 billion stock-market quotes at a target rate of 1 million rows per second using each vendor's recommended real-time ingest path.
