Vanilla OS 3 adds ARM64 images, reproducible builds, and Continuity backup tool
Why it matters — Engineers evaluating immutable Linux distributions now have an ARM64 option targeting UEFI-compatible devices, expanding deployment possibilities beyond x86_64. Reproducible builds improve supply-chain transparency for most system images, though NVIDIA images remain an exception. The new Continuity backup tool supports encrypted local drives and remote storage via SFTP, FTP, or NFS, addressing recovery workflows on atomic systems.
